Hotel San Francisco de Quito

It was a travel day for us as we made our way from San Cristobal to Quito.  After a light breakfast, we took a brisk walk to another lovely beach, La Loberia where we saw our requisite sea lions and marine iguanas. From there it was a journey that included a plane, bus and Uber before arriving at our hotel in Quito.

We ended up at the cozy Hotel San Francisco de Quito for $63/night.  The spot had a Moroccan Riad vibe to it with a central garden and high ceilings but the showstopper was a rooftop deck with a 360 degree view of the beautiful, lighted city. 

We ventured out for some delicious nachos and a beer at a rooftop hostel.  The view and vibe were incredible!
