September 24: Rovinj
After a bit of a slow start in which I completed my entire morning routine including a lower body & core workout, we made our way to downtown Rovinj. The seven minute ride gave Ashley enough time to yell at me about wasting time in the morning and why I couldn't workout in the afternoon. Traveling is not all roses :)
While trying to get to old town Rovinj, I drove down a super narrow street (about 2.5 m) and was just able to get through it without a scratch. Eventually, we found a nice parking spot and descended into the city. We had a great time in the market and bought lots of tasty food including grapes, truffles, figs, mushrooms, cheese and olive oil. Next, we headed to a so-so lunch at Barba — not a memorable meal.
Finally, we drove to our next campsite Marina Camping Resort in Labin. It was another spectacular venue along the water with infinity swimming pools and clean bathrooms. The hot shower was absolutely lovely! The site attracts a ton of divers who were seen walking around the grounds.
