Los Túneles Tour

Today was our Los Tuneles tour, which takes you through a surreal volcanic landscape of lava arches and crystal-clear waters.  After an hour boat ride, which included a magical stop at a tiny island inhabited by a crew of blue-footed boobies,  we snorkel alongside sea turtles, white tip  sharks, many colorful fish and even two seahorses.  This otherworldly experience also offered a chance to spot more blue-footed boobies resting  atop the rocky formations while cruising slowly around the volcanic rocks. We also took to the land to explore this interesting landscape, take pictures and get up close with our new favorite bird.

This excursion was certainly one to remember with many highlights while relaxing on the boat, walking on land or snorkeling in the crystal clear waters.  Besides the unique landscape and wildlife, we met a lovely family from Spain during this adventure.
