Russian River: Part II

On our last full day in Alaska, we were in search of salmon and bears.  We did see a few salmon at a hatchery but had no luck with bears.  We hiked along the Russian River talking to fishermen— many of whom were not catching any fish.  One guy did show us a video of a huge brown bear who had passed by him moments before we arrived.  We hiked in the same direction that the bear was heading but unfortunately or fortunately, we didn’t see him/her. 

We did a couple of more stops to pick up some souvenirs before ending up at a Walmart where we spent the night.
