November 18: Victoria Falls from the Sky

After a grueling white water rafting tour yesterday, we chose a much more relaxing 15-minute helicopter tour of Victoria Falls for today's adventure.  The ride was smooth and quite spectacular as it gave breathtaking views in every direction of the Zambezi River and, of course, Victoria Falls.  Unfortunately, the falls were not at full strength as the rainy season hasn’t yet begun. It definitely didn’t have the power of Niagara Falls but one could image the strength of the water flowing over a fully loaded Victoria Falls.

For the remainder of the day, we tried to relax at the steamy campsite.  I was only comfortable when I entered the swimming pool, which had bath-like water temperatures. Despite the warm waters, it was still the only place to truly escape the heat.
