September 30 - October 3: Hamburg Central Bus Station
Tuesday, October 3
We spent the morning packing and organizing the van. This time we made sure that everything was stored away and out of sight from anyone who might take a quick look inside.
The owner of QW Caravan service drove us to Hamburg Central Bus Station for our 21:00 scheduled bus trip to Brussels Airport. Besides the several stops, I actually slept pretty well in rather uncomfortable seating with little or no leg room.
Monday, October 2
While waiting for tomorrow’s departure to Brussels, we put an offer on a townhouse in Framingham. It was slightly out of our price range but the kitchen and living room were absolutely perfect. Don’t really need a house with 4 bedrooms but it had so many of our non-negotiables including central AC, gas heat, hardwood floors and an amazing kitchen.
Sunday, October 1
After a quick stop at a flea market, we returned to the sanctuary of Gerhard J. Oosting Farm where we enjoyed more fresh eggs and milk. I also watched the Bills beat the Dolphins and the Cowboys destroy the Patriots. The Patriots easily played their worst game of the year and forced me to turn it off midway through the third quarter.
Saturday, September 30
We spent a couple of hours at the Holsten Thermal Spa relaxing in the heated outdoor pool. We took advantage of the pulsating jacuzzis as we treated our sore, tired muscles. The price of $14/person seemed reasonable for two hours of pampering. Clean and refreshed, we retreated to the evening’s resting stop, which was a free spot that we found on the Park 4 Night app.
