October 29: Halali Campsite

We made the scenic drive from Okaukuejo Camp to Halali Camp in Etosha National Park.  Along the way, we made several stops at water holes and were rewarded with many beautiful wildebeests, zebras, and springboks.  We were also fortunate to see three leopards in two different locations.  Although several meters off the road, we could clearly see these sleek and powerful animals.

Another highlight of the day was when we arrived at Halali Camp and made our way to the watering hole.  The scene was unbelievable as about 50 elephants drank and played in the natural spring water with a large pack of zebras patiently awaiting their turn. It was great watching both the elephants enjoy their favorite libation and the zebra's horse playing until the behemoths were done.
