September 7: Faroe Islands

We made it to Faroe Island right on time after a delightful ride from Iceland.  Our deluxe room was absolutely incredible with huge bed, comfy couch, large flat screen TV and incredible ocean views from our two windows.  The refrigerator was stocked with two waters, beers and cokes, which were all included in the cost.  We also received two snickers, cheese puffs and Nespresso coffee — I was so psyched to have a delicious cup of coffee in the morning.  Breakfast and lunch buffet were also plentiful and tasty.

Once we arrived on land, we made a quick stop to buy a SIM card and make the 30 minute drive to our campsite.  The drive along the coastline initially reminded me of Scotland – maybe it was the light drizzle and fog.  After a few minutes, the landscape brought back memories of Norway with its huge rich green mountains, littered with waterfalls that practically spilled onto the highway.  Unfortunately, we found out that the campsite was closed so we just pulled up a spot by a dock where we would be boarding a fishing boat in the morning.
