August 30: Akureyri Backpackers

We made the over five hour drive to Akureyri and stopped at a really cool cafe/bar/restaurant called Akureyri Backpackers.  I sipped a beer while we did two very expensive loads of laundry with each one costing $10.68.  At least we had “free” wifi and rested in a couple of super comfortable love chairs that overlooked the cute downtown area.

It was a pretty uneventful day with the possible exception of my phone losing function for a few hours along the ride. I still haven't determined what was wrong with it but it magically started working after a quick lunch stop.
