August 28: Green Cliffs

We completed the 15 km Green Cliff trek, which took approximately 7.5 hours.  The day started with a 1.5 hour boat ride on a super comfortable vessel.  When we got to our destination, we had to jump on a lifeboat to get to shore — it was probably the coolest part of our journey.

There were parts of the trek that reminded me of Secada in the Dolomites and the Seven Sisters cliff walk in Scotland but overall paled in comparison to the majesty of either of these hikes.  With no visible trail, we were constantly walking on rocks or super soft moss, which made you feel like you were traveling through quick sand.  This made a relatively easy hike seem challenging. We were all disappointed in this hike especially when you consider the outrageous cost.
