July 25: Trollstigen

We had another busy day with an early wake-up and short drive to Geiranger Skywalk.  Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate as we were met by rain and fog at the top.  We were able to take a few pictures among the raindrops before heading out for our next stop.

The roads on this route were extremely serpentine as we carefully maneuvered the right roads.  We eventually passed through Geiranger and saw a huge cruise ship beginning to dock. We stopped at a few viewpoints to try to enjoy the wet, foggy scenery.

Our last stop before camp was Trollstigen, where we got to see an amazing waterfall and sinuous road below. The water was even more impressive when you were driving as it appeared to be coming right at you.

Eventually, we made it to picturesque Trollveggen Camping.  In this case,  the lovely amenities were overshadowed by the breathtaking views of the jagged mountains that surrounded the camp.
