July 24: Hoven

Our 10th day in Norway started super early as Ashley was up at 4:00 am and we were on the road before 5:00 am.  We continued along the picturesque route 55 toward our next destination in Gaupne, which is the official end of this scenic highway and then onto route 63 where we stopped in Loen.  I took the Loen Skylift to the top for some easy hikes. The cost for a roundtrip ticket was a pretty steep $57.  The views from the top were amazing and the beautiful weather added to a couple of short brisk hikes.  

Next, we drove another hour to Geiranger where we found another beautiful spot to park for the evening.  We were hardly alone as many tourists stopped to take pictures of the glaciers and soak in the scenery.
