July 17: Lysebot

It was a recovery and travel day for us.  The weather continued to be one of the stories as it rained for most of our drive from Preikestolen Camping to Lysebot. The journey included a short ferry ride on a tiny boat that carried about ten cars across the waterway.

The wet weather didn’t deter us from enjoying an absolutely beautiful scenic drive as we encountered waterfalls, green covered mountains and several bodies of water. We noticed that many of the houses had grass covered roofs that gave them a unique look.

The rest of the day we rested our bodies in preparation for a 6 hour trek tomorrow.
