June 5: Camping Gite Le Nomade

Another day, another campsite along the Atlantic Ocean.  Camping Gite Le Nomade was our next stop as we made the slow journey to Sidi Ifni.  The campsite was only $8.87/night and included bathroom, shower, cooking area and electric hookup.

Before settling into our campsite for the day, we stopped by a local market to buy eggs, fish, fruits and vegetables.  The total bill for our haul was a whopping $12.26.  With an expensive July coming up (ferry tickets to Genoa & Norway), it is encouraging that we are way below budget during the first week of June.

For lunch, we enjoyed olives and grapes before devouring some Vietnamese fresh rolls with the vegetables that we purchased earlier in the day.  Next, we took a quick walk down to the rock-faced cliffs along the ocean and were captivated by this area.  We were shocked by the lack of development along this scenic coastline – this would never happen in the USA.
