June 25: Saying Goodbye is Hard

We said goodbye to MoJo, Honza and Eva — it’s another reminder of the many bonds that tie humans together.  Despite growing up in four different countries, the instant friendships that emerged with these two lovely couples demonstrates how similar we are to one another.

Our first stop was to Essaouira to recharge SIM and grab some breakfast.  We ate at a local spot that served the most delicious mint tea — think it even rivaled the brew we had at the Lipton Tea Plantation in Sri Lanka.

Next, we drove to Spirit Nature Camping where the electricity was working! We immediately ran the AC to cool down the hot metal box that is our home.  I took advantage of the beautiful pool — swimming laps and reading with my feet up.  The cost of 190 Moroccan dirham or about $19.00 was higher than we’ve paid recently but I guess the old adage is true, “you get what you pay for.”

A well needed shave and hot shower brought the day to a close.
