June 10: End-of-Year Gathering

We spent the last day at Camping Gite Le Nomade and were entertained by an end of year celebration for over 50 young men from a neighborhood school.  The owner of the campsite along with two of the school’s teachers organized a series of games as the boys were divided into several teams.  The gathering concluded with Moroccan music and some boys dancing in this warm community building event – I, for one, was impressed with the sense of community that these teachers have created for these young adults.

After the festivities concluded, we had a nice dinner with the young German couple.  We sipped wine, told stories and listened to some blues.  It was a lovely way to conclude our stay at this very comfy campsite.
