April 5: Calahonda Sunrise

We took an early morning stroll along the expansive boardwalk along the incredible coastline.  Although our journey started in complete darkness, we eventually were rewarded with the first light of day and then a brilliant sunrise. We jogged, walked, and posed for pictures along the way to and fro.  I even stopped to do 7 pull-ups right on the beach — what an amazing spot to exercise.  After having the boardwalk to ourselves, we were joined by several others as the first light arrived.  The coastline was filled with high end hotels, apartments, bars and restaurants — a wonderful place to retire.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing in the campsite and by the beach.  The wind by the ocean was really strong so it was a short visit on the beach.
