April 21: Chefchaouen

After a 4 hour bus trip, we arrived in the quaint blue city of Chefchaouen at 12:00 pm. We checked into our wicked cute Airbnb and immediately began to explore the “Blue Pearl.” There are many theories about why all the houses are painted blue in Chefchaouen  ranging from keeping the mosquitoes away to representing the sky and heaven.  Whatever the reason, the blue city now attracts tourists who look for the perfect spot to take pictures. It has a bit of a feel of Santorini in appearance without the coastline.

We ended the long day with a visit to a local Hammam where we were pampered with a body scrub and massage.
