April 20: Moroccan Rugs

After a delicious breakfast at the Riad Salam Fes, we spent most of the day searching for rugs for Haein,

my sister and mother.  The price of the carpets range wildly depending on the quality and size.  After much

negotiation and shopping, we bought four smaller size carpets without breaking the bank. 

During the rest of the day, we spent a decent amount of time walking through the local market with its fresh produce, spices, meats and poultry. We made one stop at a small coffee shop called Drink and Smile where we drank Brazilian coffee seasoned with Moroccan spices and smiled.
