April 2: Torremolinos

In this retirement town of Torremolinos, we spent the day like, well, a retired couple.  We woke up in time to catch the sunrise and run along the beach. 

After breakfast, we walked to the market to buy some groceries.  A stiff breeze kept us cool on the stroll back to the van. By this time, the restaurants, bars and hotel pools were packed with holiday travelers.  

I spent the afternoon on the beach reading Hang the Moon by Jeannette Walls. I remembered reading The Glass House and had to read another one from her collection — her books are simply a joy to read.
