March 24: Manta Rota

We traveled to Manta Rota on our last day in Portugal. We spent the afternoon walking along the beach of this coastal town. The weather was perfect with a slight breeze off the ocean and full sunshine.  We didn’t see anyone in the water today and only a few hearty souls laid out on the beach.

Although a few restaurants were open, many were still closed during this bridge season. You wouldn’t know it by our campsite, which was filled to capacity with travelers from Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy and Portugal.
