March 23: Faro

We left Algarve Camping Car Park and drove to our next destination in Faro.  Our campsite was sandwiched between the ocean and river, which made for cool breezes.  

After lunch, we made it to the beach and enjoyed the clear turquoise waters and soft tan colored sand. The wind off the ocean made for large swells and cool temperatures. There would be no swimming for me today although we saw a large group of young people frolicking in the heavy surf.
