February 13: Palermo

We spent some additional time at the campsite cooking and organizing.  We next embarked on the 2.5 hour drive to Palermo. We squeezed in a trip to the supermarket to pick up a few things.

There was no problem driving until we made it into downtown and that’s when the fun began.  There were two times when it was so tight that I needed help from the locals.  On the first close encounter, I’m pretty sure that I had one inch on each side.

Next, we drove to a free parking lot by a mall to have dinner with our Korean friends.  I ate some pasta e fagioli — this time with the necessary chicken broth.  It was really tasty.

Ashley and I are still talking about yesterday’s sunset.  We have it a close second to Boracay and ahead of the one at Oia.
