January 9: Butrint National Park

We left our picturesque campsite at 9:00 am and made the 2-hour drive to Butrint National Park.  The rainy weather forced us to cancel our plans to explore this national treasure.  We were able to ride the craziest vehicle ferry that I’ve ever seen as we drove our van onto a raft-like structure. The ferry ride was less than one minute but made tomorrow’s drive to the Greece border far less daunting.

The rain and wind were pretty intense as we hunkered down in the van for the afternoon and evening.
