January 18: Perissa Black Sands Beach

We spent a few hours at the gorgeous black sands beach in Perissa.  I ventured into the cool green water and rode a few waves.  The “winter” surf was strong and brought in some seaweed. The black sand was so soft as my toes looked as if they were dipped in black pepper.

We had an early lunch of pizza and mussels at a beachfront restaurant called Demilmar.
