January 13: Temple of Poseidon
It was another busy day in Greece. We started by exploring the ruins of Delphi. We enjoyed an experiential history lesson while strolling through this ancient sanctuary built in the 8th century B.C. in honor of the Greek god Apollo. For those who still believe the earth is flat, Delphi was once considered the center of the world by ancient Greeks and Kyrie Irving.
We then made the three hour drive to the Temple of Poseidon to soak in an amazing sunset. The Aegean Sea provides a spectacular backdrop for this 5th century B.C. temple.
