January 1: Happy New Year

Happy New Year!  We got up to see a spectacular sunrise from Sooyeong’s lovely apartment in Gumpo.  After eating dumpling soup, which is a traditional Korean January 1st breakfast, we spent the majority of the day driving to Icheon.  

After an unsuccessful attempt to get into a spa with outdoor pool and indoor baths, we retired to our hotel for the evening. I needed to get up early (can you say 3:00 am) to watch the Patriots and Dolphins game.
