December 7: Morning Run on Patong Beach

We were up early and went out for a run along Patong Beach at 5:30 am.  The walk to the beach along Bangla Road was an interesting one to say the least.  Nighttime revelers continued to roam the streets – eating, drinking and carousing.  Ladies of the night morphed into ladies of the early morning as early morning deals were being negotiated before sunrise.  

The beach was littered with folks enjoying each other's company and also trash that was being washed into the crystal clear blue waters.  The run was challenging as the intense humidity was already firmly in place.

We had a late lunch at Number 6 restaurant and ate almost everything on the menu.  The highlight was the Tom Yum soup and stir fried squid dish.  The cost of the four dishes was 550 Baht or a little over $15 for the two of us – inexpensive and delicious.
