December 22: "Oh Holy Night"
We checked out of the Crown Park Hotel in Seoul and took the train to pick up our rental car. Unfortunately, Ashley left her international driver’s license in the luggage that we left at the hotel. Once this matter was resolved, we drove to Ashley’s hometown in anticipation of her high school reunion scheduled for tomorrow evening.
We drove for about three hours before arriving at one of Ashley’s childhood friends who owns her own beauty salon. She sang us an amazing Korean rendition of “Oh Holy Night.” She has a powerful voice. After exchanging some stories, we went to eat at a traditional Korean barbecue joint that was extremely popular.
