December 19: Myeongdong Kyoja

After watching the “Vomit on Yourself in Vegas” Patriots game, we had an unbelievable lunch at Myeongdong Kyoja.  This Michelin award winning restaurant has a simple menu of only four items but the simplicity allows them to perfect each of them.  We ordered 3 of the 4 menu items as we savored the kalguksu (beef noodle soup), kimchi, and mandu (dumplings).  I can honestly say that it was the best soup, kimchi and dumplings that I’ve ever eaten. The soup is actually tied for first with my Zia Judy’s world famous Thanksgiving meatball soup.  We were not the only ones to truly enjoy our meal as lines formed for tables on both floors of this wildly successful restaurant.  If you are ever in Seoul, you must go.
