November 29: Ferry to Phi Phi Islands

It was an early morning wake up at 5:15 am so I could squeeze in a quick workout before our trip to Phi Phi Islands.  We got picked up from our hotel at 7:15 am and were transported to the port for our ferry ride.  Although we were scheduled to depart at 8:30 am, we didn’t start moving until closer to 9:00 am

The two hour ferry ride went quickly as we took pictures and talked to a father and son from Japan.  Kimchi was excited to share some of her favorite spots with a captive audience.

Once we arrived on Phi Phi Island, we went to a few hotels and eventually landed at Maiyada Resort.  The room with breakfast included cost us 2200 Baht or $62/night.

After dropping off our bags, we grabbed a quick lunch at the Garlic 1982 restaurant.  The food was delicious and Inexpensive as the whole meal, which included Pad Thai, yellow curry and fresh Thai salads, cost us only about $10.00.

With bellies filled, we booked an early morning full day Island hopping tour for 1400 Baht ($40) each that includes snorkeling gear, bottled water, light breakfast and lunch. The tour runs from 6:30 am to 14:30 (2:30 pm).
