November 18: Day 6 Lycian Way Trek from Kas to Ufakdere

We embarked on a brisk hike through the rugged karstic coastline as we maneuvered expertly along some treacherous cliffs.  The thrill was worth it as we were rewarded with many spectacular views while looking back at Kas, one of our favorite cities so far.  I’m confident that we’ll be back for a longer stay in this quaint marine port. Had the opportunity to swim at one beach and have lunch at Ufakdere beach, where we were shocked to see an elderly couple relaxing in the nude— not exactly the bodies that you see on TikTok.

Accommodations: B (Simena Mehtap Pansiyon)

Absolutely beautiful island spot with incredible views from the dining area.  Unfortunately, there was no water or coffee in the room.  Additionally, room had a slightly musty odor

Food: A

Today was the best breakfast that we’ve had since being in Turkey.  The buffet style morning meal had everything from traditional American dishes like omelets and croissants along with Turkish specialties like olives, cheeses, salads and bread.
