November 16: Day 4 Lycian Way Trek from Kabak to Alinca to Gey

Grueling yet stunning 16K hike from Kabak to Alinca and then on to Gey.  Some of the most spectacular vantage points were on the cliffs of Alinca. The challenging descent from Alinca occasionally brought us exhilaratingly close to the cliff edge.  Passed by a cool glamping spot with dome huts — really plush accommodations.   Our driver took us from the lighthouse hotel to our evening’s resting stop — St Nicholas Pansiyon in Patara

Accommodations: A+ (St Nicholas Pansiyon in Patara)

Super clean and spacious room overlooking the pool from our balcony.  Complementary coffee and water in the room

Food: A

Breakfast at Camp Shiva was excellent with an incredible view that definitely added to the ambiance.  Had a delicious dinner at a small restaurant in Gey — we met a recently married couple from England.  The wife was from Turkey and she made a couple of excellent recommendations for dinner.  One was grilled eggplant and peppers with yogurt placed on top.  Another was cabbage wrapped around rice and ground beef — super tasty.

Hike: A+

One of the most breathtaking hikes that we’ve done, especially the treacherous descent from Alinca where we got uncomfortably close to the cliff edge in several spots.  Overall, an exhilarating hike that left us exhausted and at times breathless
