December 2: Amasra

Happy 8-digit palindrome day: 12.02.2021

Today started with a beautiful sunrise in Safranbolu and ended with an equally sensational sunset in Amasra — all from the comfort of our hotel room!!!

After a two-hour drive to Amasra,  we spent the day walking around the small fishing village.  Had a tasty lunch and had my first beer in 10 days — don’t think I’ll have another for awhile.  There are no IPAs in sight.  We explored many nooks and crannies as Kimchi was on the hunt for a family that she met 10 years ago.  As a way to conclude the day, we  attempted to get a PCR test but we’re a half hour late for the last appointment.

Food:  B+

We had a tasty lunch at a small fish restaurant with an incredible view of the harbor.

Accommodations: A- (Isikaltin Otel)

Nice, clean room with a beautiful view of Black Sea.  Although we received complimentary water, there was no coffee or tea.
