October 25: Heading Home for a Bit

We woke up at 2:15 am to watch the Pats get killed by the Bears.  We got a ride from Tony to the Mother Teresa airport in Tirana at 4:00 am.

They wouldn’t let us check in until 5:30 am so I had a tasty Americana while we waited and watched the end of the Pats game.  Flight from Tirana to Istanbul was short and uneventful as we arrived on time at 10:00 am.  

We used the 5 hour layover to relax and eat.  It was weird when I had to walk Ashley to her gate as she traveled to Korea while I headed to Boston. During the 10 hour flight to Boston, I ate twice and watched 3 movies — King Richard, Ready Player One and The Batman. 

Frank picked me up at the airport and we went to Santarpio’s for pizza and lamb.
