October 13: Blue Eye

I was feeling back in a rhythm today — we headed out at 9:30 for the 2 hour trek to Blue Eye.  We walked along a paved road for most of the trip and finally hiked about 3 km to this picturesque spot.

Once we got there, we observed spectacular blue waters along with a small waterfall into this small reservoir.  We took a ton of pics and videos from every angle including a bird eye view from a restaurant that unfortunately was not opened.  I had the distinct desire to dive into the icy cold blue water but didn’t have my bathing suit or a towel.

Instead of walking back, Ashley convinced some young man who was driving a truck to transport us to downtown Theth.  He was a pleasant Albanian man who showed us pictures of some of his favorite places to visit in Albania.
