September 5: Three Cliffs Bay Beach & Tenby
It was a really busy day as we visited both Three Cliffs Bay Beach in Swansea and the beach city of Tenby.
After getting up early, we drove to a downtown market where Ashley escaped and I grabbed a coffee at Costa and took care of my morning duties. Ashley was in heaven as she bought lamb, apple pie, ribeye steak and Wales cakes. She broke her 2 day fast as she was devouring Wales cakes as she showed me around the market.
From here, we drove to the Three Cliffs Bay Beach. We actually did an easy 30 minute hike to get there. At one point, I walked through water with my sneakers on to get to the final destination. You had to walk through a small tunnel to see a beautiful view of the ocean — breathtaking!
Our next stop was a campsite in Tenby, which is a beach town that will be hosting an Ironman event later this week. The campsite was beautiful with clean facilities and all of the other necessities— chemical toilet, gray tank and water fill up. We walked to the beach and through downtown — it was a super cute beach area.
