September 21: Motovun

We got up at 5:30 am and headed up the rest of the mountain to the city of Motovun.  And, just like when we visited Venice and Delft in the early morning hours, we had the small village to ourselves as we took many beautiful pictures.  Although I wanted to stay for lunch, Ashley had other plans as we headed for a failed oil change before stopping at a grocery store for coffee and bathroom routines.   The oil change has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 9:00 am.

From  here, we headed directly to the most incredible campsite that we have visited so far.  Camping Bijela Uvala in Purec is a true gem. Our spot was amazing as we kissed the Adriatic Sea.  I took full advantage as I was able to complete a couple of 15 minute swims in the perfectly cool and clean waters.  Besides the outstanding location, the bathrooms were nicer than many 4 to 5 star hotel restrooms. I could have stayed in the shower for an hour.  While shaving, I even had the pleasure of having an extra light to see my face.

After an amazing lunch and showers, we walked around the grand campsite for some spectacular views of the sunset.  The campgrounds are littered with restaurants and bars to enjoy the spectacular end of the day show.
