September 9: Oxford

We drove to Shakespeare's birthplace and then off to Oxford.  We quickly toured Shakespeare’s hometown and walked past his boyhood home. Next, it was on to Oxford University.

I truly enjoyed visiting Oxford — it looked like a group of young scholars had graduated today.  So many proud parents and friends walking the streets with the graduates — lots of brainpower.

When I got back to the van, Ashley and I removed pits from over 100 plums so she could make plum jam in the morning.

From here, we drove to New Malden and slept in an H Mart parking lot right off the highway, pedestrian walkway and very loud train.  Can’t believe I slept a wink but I did.
