August 4-6: Back to Zeebrugge

Thursday, August 4

Before leaving, we went shopping at an outlet that was only a ten minute walk from the campsite. Next, we drove to a cooler place as we ended up just outside of Zeebrugge.  

Friday, August 5

Ashley showed me all the stuff she bought — yikes she spent a fortune on kitchen stuff.  She only buys the best stuff — pots, knives, utensils, blender and a thermos.  

We had a tasty lunch — salad and salmon.  We ended up parking on the beach and paid $10 for 24 hours — hope we don’t get hit.  

Saturday, August 6

Ashley got up super early and ran — I eventually woke up and did a workout.  After breakfast, we headed out to see Lud and Peter for lunch at de Zeemeeuw restaurant in the Netherlands.  Although the tapas board was tasty, our main courses were somewhat bland.  Ashley had cauliflower curry and I had cod.  The best part of the meal was definitely the old cheese, olive spread, and bread.  It was nice catching up with Peter and Lud and they invited us to join them in Crete in late August.

After lunch, we collapsed in our van before I took a short walk on the beach.  The wind was cool but the sun is still strong this time of the year.
