July 2-3: Prepping for London

Saturday, July 2

It was another pretty relaxing day.  I woke up early, worked out down at the beach and bought pastries from Michele’s.

We went to another open market and bought some items for dinner including clams, and Korean dumplings.  When we got back to the apartment, we did a load of laundry and I cooked spaghetti and clams.

After our typical morning routine of workout and breakfast, it was off to the flea market where we bought a ton of stuff for the van.  The best deal was at one table where we picked up 8 small dishes, a blender and a tray of silverware for 5 euros.  We also bought a brand new electric wok for 15 euros.  Although it made the walk back a little more challenging, it was worth it to make the van functional immediately without having to wait for our boxes.  We also walked to the beach to check out electric bikes which we found for 1200 euros each.  In talking with Peter & Lud over a beer, they said to buy the bikes in the Netherlands as everyone drives bikes in that green nation.
