June 7: Bolzano

I woke up at about 7:00 and had a couple of cups of coffee and admired the spectacular view from our apartment.  I also made it to the grocery store to buy breakfast stuff.  While H was in class, I worked out, Ashley watched YouTube and A slept.  

After breakfast, we headed out to Seceda to ride the gondola in anticipation of our next hike.  Unfortunately, the weather gods didn’t cooperate as the fog and rain began to approach.  So, we took a pass on the lift and headed to Bolzano to walk around the city and have lunch/dinner.

Once in Bolzano, we bought some ham and salami for tomorrow’s hike.  We also stopped by several restaurants to eat and drink.  At the first stop, we had caprese salad and prosciutto & melon.  From here, we stopped at a place for bruschetta.  After walking around for a bit, we made our way for dinner.  We all had pasta with the best dish being the spaghetti with clam sauce.

We got back to the apartment for a sunset where H and I had a beer on the deck.
