July 1: Brugge

We spent the day in Brugge as we walked around the quaint city.  I also climbed the clock tower, which meant over 500 steps in really narrow quarters.  There were times that I had to squeeze against the wall to let folks up/down the staircase. We quickly visited an art museum, chocolate shop and took pictures of the clock tower from a picturesque spot where many people boarded boats for a tour of this lovely city.  We ended up having lunch at a pretty good (7 out of 10) Thai restaurant. I had a couple of tasty white beers with lunch before taking the short train ride home.

After resting for a bit, we headed down the beach to the KneistFestival where we listened to one band with a young woman as the lead singer.  The crown was huge — we could even get a good view of the stage.  We were directly on the side and could only see the lead singer if she came up to the very front of the stage.

I finally posted a year in review reel on Instagram— it took me forever to put it together.  I liked the final product but didn’t add a portion where I spoke about our first year adventure.
