May 8: Happy Mother's Day from Savannah

Happy Mother’s Day!! We headed out to downtown Savannah and decided that we would have brunch at the Hyatt for $54/person. We had to wait in the lobby for about an hour and a half but it was worth the wait as we pigged out on oysters, shrimp, prime rib, salad, omelets and dessert.  The coffee was exceptional too.  

After eating, we did the river walk which was beautiful.  We stopped to listen to music and walked through some stores.  The candy store was incredible with chocolate turtles, popcorn and ice cream. I contend that we are the only two who ever walked through that store without buying anything.  

After walking through Forest Gump Park, we headed back to camp and sat by the fire for a bit before calling it a day.
