May 26: Austria

We arrived in Munich on time at 1:00 pm local time. After picking up our luggage, we dragged our bags to the train as we headed toward Austria. The train ride was beautiful as we enjoyed the green landscape and mountain ranges.

We arrived at Salzburg at about 5:00 pm and met H and S who drove us back to their apartment.  After dropping off our luggage, Sebastian drove us to a really nice spot (Gaisberg) where we got a balcony view of Salzburg.  We drank a beer and enjoyed the incredible view. The Gaisberg is, at 1,288 meters above sea level, a mountain to the east of Salzburg, Austria. From there, we headed to Fuschlsee Lake. Once again, we enjoyed spectacular views and took full advantage with plenty of pics.

We ended the day by indulging in some traditional Austrian dishes— S and I had the Wiener Schnitzel, which is basically fried veal with cranberry sauce on the side. It was an absolutely delicious way to end the day.
