April 27: Naples

We got up early to take a few photos by the boat docks but got attacked by mosquitoes.  It was an all out assault that resulted in over 25 bites. We did get some awesome pics but not sure it was worth the pain.  

We met up with Ralph and walked the beach — taking a series of pics and videos along the way.  The residents beach at Marco Island is long and spectacular as it transforms from a beautiful white sand beach to a rustic one with brush and dead tree limbs.  It was funny to see some dead bushes with shells on its limbs — it looked like a sea shell tree.  

After the walk, we headed to the pool.  Later in the afternoon, Ashley and I went to the YMCA for an intense 1.5 hour workout. 

After a quick drink, we headed out to the Boathouse in Naples to meet a former colleague and her husband -- Dale and Kevin for dinner.   It was so cool to see Dale — we told stories about our trip and laughed the night away.
