April 21: Cary, North Carolina

We woke up early at our cozy campsite in Cary, NC.  After a quick breakfast and shower, we made our way to my uncle Joe’s retirement place.  It was beautiful with an awesome main area with a wellness center, auditorium, and restaurants.  After a tour of the main area, we went up to his apartment and he showed us around, stopping by many pictures, and telling a detailed story for each one of them.  

Joe took us to an amazing Italian restaurant Enrico’s for some incredible food.  We ate like pigs as we devoured antipasto (eggplant bruschetta, prosciutto, and Mozzarella), salad, bread, and veal/chicken Marsala. We washed all this food down with a bottle of Prosecco.  We also destroyed dessert along with a tasty cappuccino. 

After dropping Joe off at his luxury retirement complex, we made the three hour drive to Holden Beach.  We plan on meeting my cousin Adrianna and her husband Ross tomorrow for lunch and some beach time.
