March 25: SM Mall

We couldn’t get out of the Reddoorz Hotel fast enough as we checked out and walked to One Oasis.  Unfortunately, when we arrived at 7:30 am, we were told that we couldn’t check in until 2:00 pm.   So we left our bags at the security desk and headed to the SM mall.  

The mall didn’t open until 10:00 am so we did some grocery shopping (beer, ramen and pasta) before having a delicious breakfast at the Pancake House.  Kimchi got banana and I chose walnut pancakes, which were both delicious.  We explored the mall a bit more, stopping for an ice cream at Dairy Queen. I vowed to return with a coffee from Starbucks to enjoy a coffee with ice cream or an Affogato for my Italian friends.  There were so many restaurants— pizza, Japanese and even a steakhouse.   We arrived back at the Oasis at 2:00 pm and were once again disappointed— no toilet paper, rough towels and the worst bed we’ve had to sleep on.  I made pasta and we drank a couple of beers and then off to bed for an extremely restless and uncomfortable night’s sleep.
