March 24: White Island

 Another early morning but was feeling much better than yesterday— White Island was definitely a bucket list stop.  We were on the first boat, of course, and spent the two hours taking pictures as we caught the sunrise. As the saying goes, “The early bird catches the sunrise.” We were back at our hotel by 8:00 am.

Before 11:00 am, we were on the road to the ferry, which we barely made thanks to a couple of unnecessary stops, including one to buy a machete, for one of the passengers.  But, once on board, we made great time arriving at the dock by noon.  We quickly settled our bill and boarded a van for a two hour journey toward Cagayan.
