March 23: Mantigue Island
Another day — another tour. This one started with a 5:30 am pick up before heading out on a 30 minute ride to pick up our new friends. Our first destination was Mantigue Island, which meant paying a number of fees and taking a boat ride to this beautiful location.
Upon arriving, we spent time walking around the island, snorkeling, eating and swimming. I swam for about 30 minutes in the warm waters.
From here, it was off to the Katibswasan Falls. Beautiful in a totally different manner but still spectacular— a powerful waterfall with a jungle backdrop. We mostly spent time taking pics but Kimchi and I took a cold plunge into the water — feeling the mist and power of the falls.
Lastly, we went to Sunken Cemetery for more snorkeling. The highlight was seeing the giant clams among the corals. The view of the cross from the shore was also amazing
